Annual New York Burlesque Festival Brooklyn Theatre reviews
Nas' performance was great/ his headliner sucked
Nas, pick a better damn headliner for your concerts PLEASE. The show opened with Mr. Cee from Hot 97 and he had the crowd moving and excited about seeing Annual New York Burlesque Festival. But his performance was excellent- he went back to It Was Written, God Son and even some of his Lost Tapes songs. By the time Nas came out we were exhausted and pissed that we had to sit through that. We had to sit through over an hour of some R & B singer who was mostly inaudible and quite annoying in her singing style. But jesus, the girl even sung remixs of H to the Izoo and I just found her presence just disheartening. Of course he went through his current hits off Life is Good. Then we had to sit through over an hour of some R & B singer who was mostly inaudible and quite annoying in her singing style. If it must be R&B-Chrisette Michelle, Janell Monae, Jill Scott: people who actually have talent and something substantial to say, like you. Still love you, Nas!
